Hi, I'm Randy Colyer, President of Greenwood Pools & Spas. Greenwood Pools was started in 1960 by my parents, Clae and Norma Colyer. They started our business because they wanted to have an inground pool in their backyard and there wasn't any place locally to which they could turn. So they decided to start a business themselves. The business was operated part time until 1965 when Clae left the security of Gable's Department store where he was a buyer and department manager. They opened the retail outlet in 1965 selling inground and above ground pools, equipment, chemicals, supplies and fun accessories. In 1988, my wife Sylvia and I, took over the day to day operations, constantly enhancing the products offered and services available.

Greenwood Pools' display pool that was installed in the early 1960's is still going strong in 2010. We decided to update the pool and let the main structure intact. We added walk-in stairs, a multi-color changing light, deck fountains, new sidewalks and new liner. We wanted to show you what we can do with your existing pool. Stop in and check it out.

In the early 1990s, we decided to take the plunge into selling spas in a big way. We built a showroom dedicated to displaying and selling spas. We continue to operate from our original location in Greenwood and have grown from our small store of approximately 1000 sq. ft. to our present facility of more than 10,000 sq. ft. of retail store and warehouse space. Every year it seems we continue to expand our product line. In 2000, we 've added Swim Spas and Decorative Ponds. We've also added comfortable backyard hammocks. We hope to continue to add to your complete backyard experience! Check out our products section.
